Jaipur Festivals
Jaipur being a large city in Northwest India is home to people of various faiths and it is also an important city on the tourist map of India. As a result, there are a number of festivals organised in Jaipur at regular intervals. Kite festival, Jaipur heritage international festival, Elephant festival, Gangaur, and Teej that are well known.
The Jaipur Heritage International Festival is a two week long annual jamboree of Rajasthan crafts, art and folk music & dance. It attracts people from within India as well as tourists from across the world, to experience a slice of Rajasthani life.
Craftsmen display the traditional arts and put up their wares for sale. Visitors can enjoy open air performances by the Rajasthani artists, cultural performances that bring alive the true spirit of Rajasthan, and even a literature festival featuring book readings by reputed authors form a part of the festival's proceedings.
