Among all the Rajasthan Fairs and Festivals, the Winter Festival has its own charm and cultural significance. The Winter Festival is held every year in the month of December in Mount Abu. It is the only hill station in this desert state known as the summer capital of Rajasthan.

The Winter Festival is an electrifying annual event celebrated from December 29 to 31. The festival is arranged by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Municipal Board of Mount Abu to showcase the electrifying culture of Rajasthan. This three day mega cultural feast is vibrant in its truest sense because of its traditional procession and enthralling performances of the folk artists of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana.

This festival is the melting pot of Rajasthan cultural beauty whose diversity adds extravaganza to the three-days of fun and playful events. Kindheartedness and joyfulness of people of Mount Abu welcomes tourists from several parts of the globe who wants to dip themselves in Rajasthan cultural vibrancy and dispersed scenic beauty.

Traditional dance, folklores, music concerts, fairs, handicrafts display, delectable foods and colorful fireworks are the major attractions of this celebration. Along with a cultural extravaganza, this fair is also known for its several enthralling activities like a hot air ballooning, gilli danda, kite flying, poetry reading with a visual art, 20 x 20 cricket match, sufi kathak with break-dance and many more.

The bonanza of fun, frolic and festivity of the Mount Abu Winter Festival begins with a procession participated by the colorfully dressed citizens which begins from the RTDC Hotel Shikhar and ends at the Nakki Lake Chowk. The mingling of shehnai and the Army band heightens the joy of this opening march.
