Day 1- Saturday

Board the Train Delhi onto Jaipur-After a traditional welcome complete your registration formalities and proceed to board the train and enjoy on board dinner as your begin this wonderful journey

Day 2- Sunday

Jaipur - After on board breakfast proceed to visit the Amber Fort followed by an Elephant Polo match with lunch at an exclusive venue. In the afternoon you can enjoy optional activities- Spa Treatment/Shopping/Golf/visit to City Palace and Jantar Mantar.

Day 3- Monday

Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Embark on an exciting game drive into the Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy lunch onboard as you enter into Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the Sikri Fort.
Return to the comforts of Maharajas Express for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4- Tuesday

Agra - Gwalior - Disembark for an early morning visit to the exquisite Taj Mahal followed by a champagne breakfast. Continue to Gwalior. Relish lunch at the 120 year old Usha Kiran Palace, followed by a tour of the magnificent Gwalior Fort and Opulent Jai Vilas Palace Museum with Hi- tea in the palace compounds.

Day 5- Wednesday

Orchha - Khajuraho - Proceed to the bejeweled Jahangiri Mahal in Orchha and continue to the world Heritae temples of Khajuraho

Day 6 - Thursday

Varanasi - Tour the holy city of Varanasi including the ancient ruins of Sarnath, Varanasi Silk Weaving Centre and a scenic cruise on the sacred Ganges. Witness the magical evening Aarti on the ghats of the Ganges.
The itinerary of the Indian Panorama tour also accommodates the sister town of Sarnath that is most famous for the Buddhist connection. Visit the Stupas and the meditating sites of the Buddha and relive an experience like never before. A trip to Silk Weaving Center is also on the cards today.

Day 7- Friday

Lucknow - Welcome to the enchanted 'City of Nawabs', Lucknow. Tour the Rumi Darwaza and the spectacular Bada Imambara. Opt to explore the bustling markets of the royal city. Experience the elegance and charm of traditional hospitality during an exclusive dinner and relish Awadhi cuisine from the Royal Kitchen.

Day 8- Saturday

Delhi - After breakfast, disembark into Delhi and bid farewell to the Train.

Payment Terms

In case of FIT’s:

• 25% of the published price plus applicable taxes at the time of confirming the booking along with names.
• Balance payment 60 days prior to the departure.

In case of Group Booking (Group booking means booking of at least 15 paid adults travelling together on particular departure).

• 25% of the published price plus applicable taxes at the time of confirming the booking.
• Next 25% (i.e. cumulative 50%) of published price 90 days prior to departure.
• Balance payment 60 days prior to departure along with the naming list.
• In all such cases the IA/ TA/ PSA undertakes to explain to the clients about all Terms & Conditions of booking and Travel on Maharajas’ Express and get a copy of booking form signed by the client as an acknowledgement. In case it is signed by the IA/ TA/ PSA-IA/ PSA-TA on behalf of the client, it will be presumed that the conditions have been accepted by the client.

In case of full train booking (i.e. booking of the full train for a scheduled departure)

• 25% of the published price plus applicable taxes at the time of confirming the booking.
• Next 25% (i.e. cumulative 50%) 120 days prior to departure.
• Balance payment 90 days prior to departure.
• Naming list needs to be submitted 30 days prior to departure for the purpose of insurance, off board services, cabin allotment etc.
• In all such cases the IA/ TA/ PSA undertakes to explain the clients about all T&C of booking and Travel on Maharajas Express and get a copy of booking form signed by the client as an acknowledgement. In case it is signed by the IA/ TA/ PSA on behalf of the client, it will be presumed that the conditions have been accepted by the client.
• For full train booking during X-Mas and New Year additional 10% of tariff (including supplement charges for X-Mas and New Year) will be payable. Entire amount is payable at the time of booking and it will be non refundable.

In case of Charter Booking (booking of the full train for a modified/different itinerary during season or any booking outside the announced departures):

• 25% of the agreed price plus applicable taxes at the time of confirming the booking.
• Next 25% (i.e. cumulative 50%) of agreed price 120 days prior to departure.
• Balance payment on agreed price 90 days prior to departure.
• Naming list needs to be submitted 30 days prior to departure for the purpose of insurance, off board services, cabin allotment etc.
• In all such cases the IA/ TA/ PSA undertakes to explain the clients about all T&C of booking and Travel on Maharajas Express and get a copy of booking form signed by the client as an acknowledgement. In case it is signed by the IA/ TA/ PSA on behalf of the client, it will be presumed that the conditions have been accepted by the client.

The following cancellation charges will apply:

Cancellations:

For any cancellation days are counted excluding the date of departure

In case of FIT’s:

• 60 days or more prior to departure, 25 % of published price.
• 45 to 59 days prior to departure, 50% of the published price.
• 0 to 44 days prior to departure, 100% of the published price.

In case of Group Booking:

• 90 days or more prior to departure, 25 % of published price.
• 60 to 89 days prior to departure, 50% of the published price.
• 0 to 59 days prior to departure, 100% of the published price.

In case of Full Train Booking:

• 120 days or more prior to departure, 25 % of published price.
• 90 to 119 days prior to departure, 50% of the published price.
• 0 to 89 days prior to departure, 100% of the published price.

In case of Charter Booking:

• 120 days or more prior to departure, 25 % of agreed price.
• 90 to 119 days prior to departure, 50% of the agreed price.
• 0 to 89 days prior to departure, 100% of the agreed price.

REFUND

IRCTC reserves the right to determine the amount of refund value in case of cancellation and amendments. The decision on the quantum of refund will be final as that made by IRCTC. The refund will be made in the name of the IA/TA/PSA. There will be no refund for unutilized services unless specified. In no circumstances whatever shall the IA/ TA/ PSA make or promise any refund on or in respect of the tours, deviations in route/service or vouchers supplied by IRCTC without previous reference to IRCTC and by its written authority.  Where the IA/ TA/ PSA makes such representations, the IA/ TA/ PSA would be solely responsible and incur full liability for such representation including  but not limited to damages, compensation and specific performance.

Other Terms & Condition

Christmas & New Year, Signature Journey Supplement Charges:

• There will be supplement charge of USD 500 per pax travelling during the tour falling on New Year eve and Christmas.
• The supplement charge will be applicable for child between 05-12 years also.
• Supplement charges may  be applicable for certain signature journeys as announced by IRCTC from time to time.

No show/enroute termination of tour/amendment:

• In case of No Show/non-arrival of the guest, no Refund/adjustment in future travel will be admissible.
• En route termination of tour: In case of termination of tour by the guest, no refund/adjustment for future travel will be made.
• Amendment: is admissible only during the serious health problems (supported by Doctor certificate) and is entirely at discretion of IRCTC and further subject to availability of the seats. No refunds are permissible.  Every case will be decided on merit and case-to-case basis. No amendment is permissible in case of booking of groups or full train booking or charters.

CHILD POLICY

Maharajas' Express does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavour to maintain.

• Children below 5 years shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking. However, this is not recommended by us.
• Single child (5 years - 12 years) - 50% of the adult fare, subject to sharing of double bed with two full paid adults. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking. However, this is not recommended by us.
• Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins except in the Presidential Suite Car.
• All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

Facilities

Accommodation
As the name suggests, Maharaja's Express offers a truly royal accommodation for its passengers. It is well-equipped with 5-star hotel facilities and services, offering its guests a royal experience. The train takes its guests across the various destinations starting from north to south.
The accommodation includes five carriages for Deluxe Cabins, six for Junior Suites, two for Suites and one for grand Presidential Suite. Each cabin is especially fitted with a huge window for providing its guests the opportunity to see the outside beauty. There are 23 AC luxuriously decorated coaches on the train.
All the cabins have individual temperature controls, the one of its kind in India and state-of-the-art facilities like LCD televisions, direct dial telephone, DVD players, Internet and environmentally friendly wash rooms. The facility of in-house movies and live television is also available to keep the guests entertained. Each cabin is also installed with its own electronic safe deposit box.

Attendants
There are attendants at your service round the clock to ensure your comfortable sojourn on the train. Every need of each passenger is taken care of.

Restaurants
Rang Mahal and Peacock  are the two beautiful restaurants on board, having an accommodation facility of 42 people at a time. Complimentary wines and beer are also served with the dinner. A variety of lip-smacking cuisines like Indian, Continental and Chinese are served in the restaurants.

Bar and Lounges
Safari Bar on board is stocked with a wide range of wines, liquor and beer which comes complimentary to every traveller on the train. Scrumptious snacks are also provided along with the drinks. There is a lounge on the train that has a bar comprising game tables as well as club arm chairs for the comfort of its passengers.

Guides
Guests are also provided with professional and qualified English-speaking guides, who share the knowledge with passengers while exploring the attractions.

Smoking Policy
According to the Indian law smoking is not allowed in the train.

Charters
The Maharajas' Express also offers its booking facility for weddings, conferences or any other exclusive event.
