Hotel Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

Rambagh Palace Is Also Called The Jewel Of Jaipur. Home To The Royals Of Jaipur Rajasthan For Nearly Two Centuries, It Is Now A Heritage Hotel Offering An Experience Of The Finest Rajput Hospitality.

Hotel Rambagh Palace, JaipurThe Jewel of Jaipur, Rambagh Palace was initially built for Kesar, the then queen Maharani Chandrawatji's favourite handmaiden, in 1835. A home of the Jaipur royal family, Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II initially converted it into a luxury hotel in 1957. Now it is managed by the Taj Group of Hotels. 85 rooms and suites that have been beautifully and painstakingly restored, including the former Maharaja's residence, sport luxurious silk curtains and opulent fabrics depicting the colours and art of Rajasthan. Gardens with pavilions, fountains and pools and marble corridors, once the epitome of royal living, now form an elegant and comfortable heritage hotel. Once you step inside the hotel, you step back in time.

This palace has entertained numerous Viceroys, Lords and Ladies, polo players, officers and artists as guests of the royalty. Rambagh Palace has a museum on its premises that is open to the hotel guests. The Grand Presidential Suite also called the Suryavanshi Suite overlooks the palace gardens and has period furniture. International celebrities and Heads of State have enjoyed their stay in Suryavanshi Suite. Grand Royal Suites include the Maharani Suite where Maharani Gayatri Devi once lived and the Prince's Suite. There are other royal suites as well that were once used by the Maharaja and a number of suites that have history attached to them.

All hotel guests have the luxury of a Personal Butler. Expect to be treated like the guests of the Maharaja. The hotel has all modern amenities like internet access, Wi-Fi, business centre and convention facilities. The hotel organises airport transfers and city tours in vintage cars, as well as champagne walks and shopping & sightseeing tours.

Dine at Rambagh Palace from the finest of Indian and International cuisines. Polo Bar is reminiscent of the royal sport and is done up trophies and memorabilia. Suvarna Mahal is the place to enjoy exotic dishes carefully chosen from several royal cuisines across India. Suvarna Mahal literally means the Palace of Gold and its decor amply demonstrates that. The Rajput Room is the round the clock coffee shop. The Verandah is an al-fresco diner with a view of the gardens and fountains.

Yoga classes, ayurvedic therapies and sports, Jacuzzis, mini golf, croquet and tennis are just some of the indulgences available.
