Bagore ki Haveli, Udaipur

Among the multitude of beautiful buildings dotted around the city of Udaipur, Bagore ki Haveli is also an important piece of art and important tourist attraction. This beautiful mansion is also located on the lakeside of Lake Pichola, right along City Palace, Lake Palace and Jag Mandir.

It was made by Amir Chand Badwa, the Prime Minister of Mewar in the eighteenth century. Well preserved rooms that number over hundred, beautiful interiors with glass and mirror work that are a speciality of this region and art and costumes on display, make this an interesting place to explore during your sojourn in Udaipur. The museum within the mansion has objects like hookahs, nutcrackers, jewellery boxes, rose water sprinklers and hand fans used by the royals, on display.

Bagore- ki- haveli is nowadays the venue for evening entertainment; performances of Rajasthani folk dance and music are staged in its romantic surroundings against the backdrop of Lake Pichola.
